Glen is the founding Managing Director of Greencross and was a co-founder and Director of Mammoth Pet Holdings Pty Ltd (Petbarn) before it merged with Greencross.
At 27, Glen bought a small vet practice in Townsville and within 10 short years, had developed five vet clinics and a large format pet store in Townsville as well as two veterinary hospitals in China. From there, he went on to build a multi-million dollar integrated pet care empire, which now operates more than 160 veterinary hospitals in Australia and New Zealand.
Greencross is also Australasia’s leading specialty pet care retailer, with more than 250 stores operating under the brand names Petbarn and City Farmers in Australia and Animates in New Zealand. The company employs over 5500 employees including veterinarians, nurses, retail team members and managers.
Glen is currently Chairman of Healthia Pty Ltd and People Infrastructure. As well as being on the board of ASX listed companies Greencross and Regeneus his favourite area of interest is helping to scale up health and allied health companies. He is actively involved with Monserrat Day Hospitals, SmartClinics medical centres, and Clinician Connect.
Glen continues to help foster early stage businesses including his Shark Tank investments through active mentoring, investing and strategic planning sessions. He regularly does public appearances and speaking engagements in the business community to share his scaling up story and his V4P message (Vision, Planning, People, Patience, Passion).
A devoted family man, Glen is married with his three daughters aged 17, 16 and 9, and still lives in Queensland. His love for animals continues with two dogs, two cats, and four horses to keep the family company.

David Smith is a chartered accountant with a technology bent. He is a board member, mentor and coach to many small and medium businesses. For over 25 years he was a practicing accountant with the firm that is now BDO, Sydney and assisted many small business. In his time with that firm he created a successful software business that was sold to MYOB in 1999.
With his partner Mark Holton, he now runs Smithink 2020 which conducts workshops and conferences for accountants including the only independent technology conference and exhibition for the accounting profession. He is a regular speaking on topics relating to the future of the accounting profession, business strategy, process improvement, innovation and the impact of technology on business.
He was the 2003 President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is a director of Countplus Limited, the ASX listed aggregator of accounting firms.

Mark has developed specialised skills in the area of adult education and training with extensive experience in both private and public sector industries in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and North America.
Mark will work through ‘Understanding the financial consequences of every business decision before you make them using cash flow story (proprietary software)’. This is a brilliant session that helps you understand the returns that you should require from your specific business decisions and investments.
Mark sits on the Board and is Honorary Treasurer of Ronald McDonald House at the Children’s Hospital, Westmead and the Gold Coast Academy of Sport. He is also the Chairman of The New South Wales Central Coast Academy of Sport and The Donnica Clarke Foundation.
